Pet Heartworm Tests (K9)

In the US and many other countries across the world, heartworm disease is a dangerous and potentially fatal condition that affects pets. It is brought on by foot-long worms (heartworms) that reside in the heart, lungs, and related blood arteries of infected pets, leading to severe lung disease, heart failure, and injury to other body parts.

In addition to vaccinating your dog against diseases including rabies, distemper (DAPP), bordetella (Kennel Cough), and intestinal parasites, we advise having your dog tested for heartworm disease annually and administering monthly heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Our heartworm tests also identify Lyme disease, anaplasmosis, and ehrlichiosis, three other parasitic infections that are frequently transmitted.
